After spending a few months on the family farm this summer, we decided to make another trip to Arizona. Two years ago we spent the last few months of the year in Mesa, AZ at Good Life RV Resort primarily because of the weather as well as all the amenities they offer!

Our first stop along the way was a very small RV park in Springer, NM for an overnight stay. Santa Fe Trail RV Park is a no frills park but had pull-through sites with full hookups.

Our next stop was for two nights, because you know Penny and her gambling, at a very nice Casino/RV Park called Isleta Lakes & RV Park. The RV Park was very nice and located just across the highway from the casino and they provide a shuttle that will take you back and forth between the RV Park and Casino. Featuring 50 full-service RV sites, Isleta Lakes & RV Park is nestled along the river banks of the Rio Grande surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of New Mexico’s outdoors. Enjoy year-round fishing at the fully-stocked Isleta Lakes. As it turns out Penny won about $330, cashed in and we ran with the money! We seem to do that a lot!!

Our final night before reaching Good Life RV Resort we spent at Homolovi State Park just outside of Winslow, AZ. “Homolovi” is Hopi for “Place of the Little Hills” — the traditional name for Winslow, Arizona. This is a really great State Park with paved roads as well as paved RV sites, plenty of room, electrical and water hookups! Beautiful surroundings and it rained heavy the entire time we were there.
